This was the second short web advert for Social media release for the Columbia Threadneedle prize for 2017. Following the narrative from the first film we wanted to show the moment where an artist submits their work.
This film came as an additional project on the back of a successful first collaboration with the client Mall Galleries. Our pitch, straight away was to acknowledge that the first film of this series existed in the world of this new film. We wanted to get straight to the point and target those artists who’d gotten to the end of the submission period and were still on the fence.
We kept the tone of this film intimate, encouraging and inclusive, by continuing our theme of working in an artists studio. We altered our original visual language by focusing in on one artist and utilising the performance of an actor to be able to create a sense of narrative.
