We created a short web advert for Social media release to introduce the Columbia Threadneedle prize for 2017.


 
 

CREATIVE CONCEPT

In making content to encourage submissions for the Colombia Threadneedle Prize, we sought to make a film that felt intimate and inclusive, as though directed directly to the audience. The prize itself is open to artists of any medium and career level, offering the chance to exhibit and win a potential cash prize, it is in fact the 2nd biggest open submission art prize in the UK. 

Given that our target audience was from a diverse group we felt it important to show a number of artists, working in a number of different mediums and find the common denominator amongst them all to make a recognisable point of relation to the spot. What we eventually settled on was the moment before the work begins, of looking at a blank canvas and seeing the ‘potential’ of the work on it.
